The complex relationship between our brain, body, mind, and environment stimulates both illness and healing. These books reveal how we can be the architects of our own health and healing.
Understanding neuroscience is crucial to healing from an eating disorder because it sheds light on the intricate workings of the brain that contribute to these complex conditions. Neuroscience helps us comprehend the neurobiological underpinnings of eating disorders, such as the reward and pleasure centers, which are often dysregulated.
