Eating Disorder RECOVERY COACHING WITH MERRIT ELIZABETH

For women in eating disorder recovery who need more impactful support and stronger accountability

PERSONALIZED EATING DISORDER RECOVERY COACHING

Recovery gets easier when you understand what's happening inside your brain and have someone beside you who truly gets it. I'm Merrit Elizabeth, a Certified Eating Disorder Recovery Coach through the Carolyn Costin Institute who recovered fully from an eating disorder myself. I combine lived experience, neuroscience, and practical support to take the shame out of recovery, working alongside your treatment team to support the behavior, motivation, and mindset shifts that happen between sessions, focused on action today, not the past.

Eating disorder recovery coaching sessions may include:

short & long-term goal setting & strategizing

meal support & fear food challenges

reframing eating disorder thoughts

NEUROSCIENCE-BASED recovery ACTIVITIES

developing a recovery-oriented mindset

PERSONALIZED EATING DISORDER RECOVERY COACHING

Why a coach with lived experience?

I fully recovered from an eating disorder, and I know firsthand how complex recovery can feel. I want to meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, and help you move forward from there.

My approach brings together mind, body, and soul, drawing on neuroplasticity and mindfulness to help retrain brain patterns, reconnect you with your body’s cues, and build a life that feels aligned with who you really are.

"Having access to her whenever I am struggling with a meal or just life in general has been so helpful"

-NT

"Merrit was the difference between living in partial recovery and truly living  freely from my ED"

"Merrit has continued to hold hope for me even at times when I could not for myself."

-LS

"I had no idea I could take chances, create my own life, or even change my relationships until I met Merrit."

Awareness

Conscious change requires a shift in mindset from survival of the eating disorder to the freedom of recovery. You will develop your “why’s” for recovery and begin building the environment that allows you to manifest healing. Visualization of life in recovery should be practiced regularly.

02/ 03

Mindset

Your brain, body, and soul depend on nutrients for healing. I can educate and empower you to understand the interconnectedness of physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Recovery doesn’t follow a set timeline, it depends on how long behaviors have been present, the recovery support you have, and how consistently you work on healing. What’s important isn’t how fast you recover, but that you keep choosing recovery daily until it becomes your new normal.
Therapy is a clinical process that addresses past experiences, underlying mental health conditions, and emotional healing, while coaching focuses on mindset shifts, practical strategies, and taking action in the here and now to move forward in recovery.
